Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Vol Street provides self-hosted backtesting infrastructure software ("the Software"). The Software is designed to run in your own computing environment and facilitate connections between your systems and third-party data providers.

2. No Data Redistribution

Customer is solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all necessary licenses and subscriptions with third-party data providers. Vol Street does not provide, host, store, access, or redistribute market data from any source. Any market data accessed through the Software is transmitted directly between Customer's systems and Customer's licensed data providers.

3. No Provider Affiliation

Vol Street is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by IVolatility, Amberdata, or any other third-party data providers mentioned on our website or in our documentation. References to data providers are for informational purposes only to indicate technical compatibility with their APIs.

4. Self-Hosted Model

Customer maintains exclusive control and custody of all data processed by the Software. The Software runs entirely within Customer's infrastructure. Vol Street does not have access to Customer's data, systems, or data provider credentials.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customer agrees to:

• Obtain all necessary data licenses and comply with all third-party provider terms
• Maintain secure storage of API keys and credentials
• Use the Software in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not redistribute or resell access to data obtained through licensed providers

6. Indemnification

Customer indemnifies and holds harmless Vol Street against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from: (a) Customer's violation of third-party data provider terms, (b) unauthorized data redistribution, or (c) Customer's use of the Software in violation of applicable laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. VOL STREET DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL VOL STREET BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
